CATPART file format is associated with CATIA V5 software application. This software application is used to design 3D models using CAD, CAM and CAE methodology.

Any object drawn using this software application is given the extension of CATPART. This file format stores the details of the object dimensions, its mesh structure and other attributes which are required by the system if user is working in any specific field of working like mechanical, electrical or fluid systems. The mechanical operation details if applied on any object are also stored in the CATPART file to properly define the object dimensions, design and node properties.
