TurboTax Canada 2012 software is used to prepare taxes. The file created, by the software application when the user has entered all the required information, is given the extension of TT12.

This file is a document file which contains all the data entered by the user along with the template used to properly format the document. This file can also be edited by the user anytime he wants. The final file can then be exported to other document file formats. The TT12 file format is generally used to save tax forms or tax return information mentioned by the user using XML based formatting method.
