Xara Xtreme software application uses XAR file format to store the drawings created using this software application. Xara Xtreme software is used to make 2D drawings.

This application is used as 2D vector editing application. When working on a project XAR file is created by the software so that the user can easily work on the project while the software stores the progress of the user and keeps track of the user actions in making any drawing. Once the drawing is complete the user can then export the XAR file into any other image file for further use. XAR file cannot be used for distribution of the 2D vector image.
